"A Night To Remember Africa" has been on my heart for more than a year. It began with CHC Ministries, Bishop Tyrone Wynn and Evangelist Wynn, and came at a time when "Africa" was the last thing that I wanted on my mind. But through Bishop Wynn and Evangelist Wynn the Lord was softening my heart to understand true forgiveness. Now when I think of the time I wasted and the doors of "God's forgiveness" and Blessing that were closed because of my "unforgiveness" I wonder how I made it through. Why would God even be "mindful" of me.
One Night while on Paltalk having a great time in the Lord, an instant messenger pops up, and says,"will you be my Mom". For the first time in almost three years, "Africa" rose up in my mind. For two years I had been paying back my "Credit Union" for trying to help, for trying to be a Blessing, and although the amount may not seem like much compared to others who have been scammed, it was all I had. Now here was "Africa" crying for help again. In my mind I decided that I was going to get this person removed from Paltalk, so I could worship the Lord in peace, if it was the last thing I was to do. Well, God had other plans. Don't think that my heart softened towards Africa overnight, it didn't. But after hearing this young mans story and about his friend, my life was never going to be the same, and can never be the same....My heart will always sing a song of a Foreign Land, in "A Night To Remember Africa".
The rest of this story is really HIS STORY... God is able to "change the minds and hearts" of any who are called by His name. They hear the voice of the Shepard saying, "Feed my Sheep". These two young men have been touched by tragedy in a Country torn by Politics and Religion, yet, they hold true to one another and to God. Foster had been asking God for a mother and came to Paltalk with a "total faith" that the Lord would lead him to answered prayer. When he came there he had not eaten for about three days. He didn't complain and just told me his story. As he told me his story my heart began to "break"...He showed me that I had lied to myself when I said, "Father I forgive them who did this to me". He made me realize that at any mention of Africa my stomach would turn and I would hold back the anger, resentment, betrayal, and every emotion that comes from unforgiveness. I would hold back in my flesh because my spirit was no where in those emotions. For a week I spoke with him every night and the tears would flow. They still do.
My Sister in Christ came at my request to Yahoo one night to meet the young man that was causing such a stir in my Spirit. Like me she was not all that keen on anything attached to Africa....But the Spirit will testify to itself. This young man touched her in her spirit to. We both began to have "A Night To Remember Africa"...I contacted Bishop Wynn and Evangelist Wynn for direction because of the experience they have in Africa. Evangelist Wynn was born in "Nigeria" and she knew as well as the Bishop that I should apply caution and discernment when dealing with Africa. But it was Evangelist Sharon Nabu that confirmed that my heart has to change in order to hear the "calling of the Shepard". When I contacted her about Foster and Mohamed, my approach was even a way to try and escape this pulling on my spirit and heart, I reasoned that she would say, they are to old for an orphanage, and her answer will forever ring in my heart and spirit, "she said to me, "sister, love has no age". My unforgiveness melted away in this statement. My spirit knew it was the truth. A testimony to the ageless love of a "heavenly father" that from the foundation of the world has loved us. That love increases as we show it to others. So, I ask you to help me to get these two young men to Uganda. No one member is the "whole Body of Christ". So they can grow in the Lord with love. Love that has no age.....The cost for their travel is $3000 and because Foster lost both his mother and father he has never had a passport. The cost of that passport is $250. The River of Life Minstries is a "registered" Orphanage and all funds for travel will be organized through them. Be sure and let them know that your donation is for the Foster and Mohamed Travel Fund. They would also appreciate any other donations for the Children's School Supplies and Uniforms in the Orphanage currently.
